Filling a patent application
The patent application is filed and initially examined form-wise, followed by a technical examination, in accordance with the provisions of Law 82/2002 in Egypt. The Patent Office may request modifications.
Filing of Trademark registration
Egypt is a member state of the Madrid Agreement concerning the international registration of trademarks (Stockholm Protocol of 1967). It follows the international classification of goods and services for trademark registration purposes based on the Nice Agreement.
Filing Registration of Designs and industrial models
Industrial designs and models are protected in Egypt upon registration with the competent office. Egypt applies the international classification of industrial designs and models as adopted by the Hague Agreement.
